That's to be expected. I'm sure they're aren't expecting you to walk in the door with the president of Shinra.

[He knew that even if he was introduced as just Rufus he could never hide who he really was. But he would be just Rufus as much as he could. With Rude, that's all he wanted to be.]

[Rufus smiles against his lips, unable to help himself. He had spent a lifetime telling himself he never needed to be loved- it was something that he would never be able to afford. His father had withheld it so he had closed himself off for so long, removed from feeling anything real.

But whenever Rude said it to him he felt warm, happy. Something he never thought he was capable of.]

I'll try to make the best impression on them that I can. You'll have to tell me how so I don't mess it up.

[Rufus leans up a little to press a kiss against Rude's lips, wrapping an arm around his waist to pull him just a little bit closer.]

Tonight is ours.

[Plan it tomorrow? Seemed a bit early. Bu Rude wasn't going to deny it. He was happy to hold Rufus, though, kissing him lightly and then sharing another to kiss Rufus's forehead.]

Mmm I suppose I should sleep, shouldn't I?

[He groans softly but smiles, looking up at Rude. He needed to clean off and change but he couldn't find it himself to leave Rude's arms just yet.]

[Rude offered a soft smile, a hand coming up to stroke Rufus's cheek. Beautiful, and in the moment, his.]

[All it takes is that gentle show of affection for Rufus to feel as if he's melting into the bed. This was theirs- he only allowed Rude to see him like this, happy and content without holding anything back.]

You're going to have to help me up to change.

[He was capable of it but he needed Rude to be the stronger of them to have the motivation to get up.]

Yes, I feel dirty from the blood.

[Rufus normally would have insisted on walking himself, there was no reason he couldn't but there was something about tonight that made him want to stay close to Rude.

[If Rude knew about the head wound he'd be livid. AS it was, he slipped from Rufus's arms and picked him up.]

Come on. Time to clean up.

[Rufus laughs as he wraps an arm around Rude's shoulders, enjoying the ride. The stitches on his head still ached but he supposed that it was worth it for a night with the man he loves.]

I can shower by myself. I just want to rinse off before changing into clean clothes for bed.

[Rude smirked as he carried his man toward the bathroom.]

You can. Do you want to?

Only if you in me in the shower and wash my back for me.

[Though Rufus's expression indicated that he had any intention of keeping it just a simple shower.]

There is more than enough room for us, just in case we need it.

[Oh, Rude intended a simple shower.]

[Rufus carefully slips from Rude's arms, not pausing as he gets the water started.]

I knew you can't resist me.

[Rufus is purposefully coy in how he slips his shirt off, playing up the corny factor as it falls to the floor.]

[Rude rolls his eyes. He can and he will resist as is needed. And he feels it's needed. He knows he shouldn't get frisky with Rufus when the man is hurt. Not at all.]

I'm resisting.

[Rufus finishes stripping, giving Rude a grin as he steps under the water. He's careful to keep water off of the stitches Rude had put in, not wanting to undo his work.

It does feel good to rinse the blood from his hair and when Rude doesn't join him, he turns the water and steps out carefully.]

[Rude offered a shrug. He waited for Rufus to get out, then gathered up the towel. He didn't stop himself from carefully drying Rufus off.}

A head wound plus an arousal is bad combination. Too many places for blood to go.

Mm I suppose you make a good point.

[He does let Rude dry him off even though he's more than capable of doing it himself, it doesn't matter. This is about trusting Rude enough to let him take care of him a little bit.]

I have you looking after me so I'm sure I'll heal quickly.

I often do. Not my fault people don't listen.

[Rude is pretty sure that isn't how healing works, but he doesn't say that.]

[Rufus takes the towel from Rude to finish drying off, sitting on the edge of the tub while he waits to dry his hair carefully to avoid touching the stitches. When he catches sight of the wound in the mirror he can't help but wince, it looked worse than he originally thought.

He doesn't want to imagine what kind of world of hurt Reno was in for tomorrow.]

[Rude offered a slight bow to agree before heading to collect the requested pajamas. When he returns he offers them out.]

You can see why I was afraid.

[Rufus is careful as he pulls on the pajamas, letting his hair fall over the wound before getting up.

The last thing he wanted was for Rude to be afraid for him but he knew he could be reckless despite his best attempts not to be. He rests a hand on Rude's cheek, kissing the edge of his lips.]

I'll be more careful next time. Come on, my bed is warm and you look tired too.
